Personal | 2020– | Adobe Photoshop | Product Design, Typography, Text Hierarchy, Comedy Writing
During the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to write a "New York Times" No-Selling comedy book called "It's Smart to Be Dumb." (How is every author a "New York Times" Bestseller?) Luckily, I know a graphic designer. Using the Photoshop skills I learned in my Advanced Digital Art class, I used text hierarchy, condensed fonts, Smart Object rasterization, alignment, and 3D modeling to create a book cover mockup. I took inspiration from the sources listed on my Puzzles page with text oriented directly on the borders. I promise I know how to crop; it's a stylistic choice.
On one hand, this book is about how being Dumb can be Good, have potential, and exist as a judgement-based adjective describing a person, place, or thing: unfortunately, in a negative manner. On the other hand, it's about how being Smart can be Bad. On the other, other hand, I am running out of hands. At the humor no-no of revealing the punchline in the previous sentence, could you give me a hand?
